Hadn’t you heard of Mister Donut before? They were originally an American chain (from Boston, USA)…their stores used to be all over the U.S.
The Japanese company Duskin bought the company long ago. Mister Donut no longer has stores in the U.S., but they’re popular here (in Japan).
An example of the difference between American and Japanese taste is the fact that Mister Donut is popular in Japan but no longer exists in the U.S….conversely, Dunkin’ Donuts is popular in the U.S., but quickly wasn’t popular in Japan at all (their stores are no longer in Japan).
