Went here for the first stop on my burger crawl.
Got a standard cheeseburger cooked medium rare
The bun was awesome; the best burger bun I had on the burger crawl. It was buttery, lightly toasted, and wasn’t overly dry.
However the burger overall was disappointing. It doesn’t have a fire / grill flavor, had minimal seasoning, and its condiments weren’t anything special. Pretty much a standard burger at a higher-than-it-is-worth price. Given the better options throughout SF, I would bother looking here for burgers. Also, it was a cool day (most days in SF are cool), so the metal plate cooled the burger quickly.
I hear that some of their BBQ (brisket?) is pretty good (for San Francisco), so that’s what I’ll get next time I’m there.
