The Hog’s Apothecary, Oakland

Went here for brunch with some friends.

The coffee was good.

Came with creamer in a large milk jug container.

I got the Bay of Pigs porchetta sandwich.

I really liked the schmaltzy potatoes.

My wife got some biscuits and gravy.

Everything here was satisfying because, well, pork is good. Nothing particularly special because it tastes just like you’d think it would given the ingredient list, but everything was executed well. This is the kind of place that would have a long line if it were in SF. The menu changes occasionally, but next time I want to try some other items like the donut holes and house bacon!
