Toranomon Koffee, Toranomon Hills

Looks like a proper third-wave coffee house.

They’ve got fancy pastries.

I think this was an iced cafe mocha.

We tried the baked custard too; it was good.

The coffee was ok but nothing to write home about. I think a lot of places in Japan like to burn / dark roast their coffee beans. Maybe next time I’ll try more of the pastries.

Kick Back Cafe, Wakabacho

Went here while in Sengawa, which is nearby.

They had a lottery, and these were the winning tickets. My wife won a kiwi! Lol.

We tried a variety of items.

I don’t think the pastries are good, probably because this is a vegan-friendly location. I’m not a vegan.

The soy milk ramen was actually good! Not just a novelty. I suppose it is soy milk to give vegans some options. I’d recommend it, and I’d go back.

Bitter + Sweet, Cupertino

Seems you can find San Francisco relics in the south bay area more and more these days.  This is a good thing, imho, and this is the reason I like Bitter + Sweet.  I can go to one place and find multiple things I like, where friends and I can gather and find something for everyone.
